Apply to perform at our first ever in theatre showcase. Due to time constraints and event sharing with Jade Camerose. CEAPAC will only be filling 10 performer slots.

Performances can be burlesque, dance or pole. Only one 45mm pole will be available, static or spin, height of 13.4ft installed on a truss.

Applicants must submit a complete concept for their routine, please provide as much detail as possible.
Any applications without a full concept pitch will not be considered for this event.
Performers are welcome to reuse an old routine, please provide a video or write up of the concept.

Performer Deposit

If accepted into this event, performers are required to submit a $75.00 partially refundable peformance deposit to secure their spot for this event. Peformers will be recieve back $25 of the deposit after the event, the remainder of the deposits will be used to cover photo/video services for this event. Peformers acknowledge that if they are unable to provide the deposit in a timely manner their act will be removed from this event. Additionally the performer forfeits any deposits if they drop out of the event or are removed from the event for any reason.

Performer Requirements

Performers agree to provide the deposit, music, act intro, performer bio, photos and tech notes by the requested deadlines. Failure to adhere to deadlines will result in removal of their act from the event. Performers must arrive to the venue on time and be in costume and ready by call time. Performers must attend the mandatory tech rehearsal at the specified time. Failure to attend tech rehearsal will result in removal of their act from the line up. Performers must not consume alcohol or any other substances prior to their performance. Performers must obtain prior approval for any props that require cleanup.

Communication

Performers must keep all event related communication to directors@ceapac.ca inbox. No information should be provided through social media or text. Performers are responsible for checking their inboxes and responding in a timely manner for all event related requests. Failure to respond to time sensitive requests will result in removal of their act from the event.

Compensation and Ticket Sales

Performers will not be compensated for this event. All proceeds from tickets sold by CEAPAC will be used to cover event overhead. Proceeds from tickets sold by Jade Camerose will go directly to their business acitivies. Pricing for deposits and tickets may differ between Jade Camerose and CEAPAC due to differing overhead costs for this event. There will be no tipping at this event. This is to help minimize the event workload. Due to the high cost of this event no complimentary tickets will be offered to performers for friends or family. Performers may bring a helper for their act however they might not have a seat available if the event sells out.

Waiver of Liability

Performers acknowledge and accept that CEAPAC, Jade Camrose and its owners and staff (the Organizers) their directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchises (“Related Parties”) and the venue and its owners and staff (Venue) their directors, instructors, employees, agents, landlords, leases or franchisees (“Venue Related Parties”) are not responsible for injury or damage resulting from participation in the event, including the performers’ arrival and departure from the event. The performers acknowledge that pole dance, aerials and dance are a dangerous activities and as such the performers voluntarily accept the risks associated in participating in the event. The performers waive to the fullest extent permitted by law all legal rights of action against and fully releases the Venue and Venue Related Parties and the Organizers and Related Parties for the loss, damages, or injury howsoever arising out of or in relation to the participation by the competitors in the activities conducted or organized by the Organizers and Related Parties including without limitation, liability for any negligent or tortious act or omission, breach of duty, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty on the part of the Organizers or Related Parties.

Photo/Video Release

Performers are aware that they may be photographed or videoed during their performance. The performers acknowledge that photos or video may be published by the Organizers. The performer releases all rights or claims over any photos or videos, and acknowledges that such material is the property of and can be used by the Organizers for promotional use, without compensation to the performer.

Spring Showcase
