CEAPAC’s showcase is a fundraising event proceeds from ticket sales of this showcase will go towards refreshments, overhead and future events! Daylight Mini Pole Shoot

Join us in collaboration with Warehouse Photo Works for a dreamy daylight mini pole shoot.

Must be atleast beginner level. Not suitable for individuals with no prior pole experience.

Each participant will get 15 mins of camera time and receive 4 edited photos with the option to purchase additional photos directly from Warehouse Photo Works.

Time: Mar 23rd 12:00 - 1:10pm

Arrival time: 11:45PM - 12:30PM

Cost: $75+ gst per person

Limited to 4 spots only!

How it works:

Step 1. Register through Vagaro. 4 spots per 1 hour block. Event is final sale. No refunds or credit will be offered.

Step 2. Bring your clothing, shoes, or props of choice. Arrive between 11:45AM-12:30PM. Late arrival will result in denial of participation in the event.

Step 3. Come camera ready and warm up! Have your hair and makeup already complete or showcase those natural features.

Step 4. Smile and pose!

Additional Information:

Our instructors will be on site to offer an array of pose suggestions for those that struggle with posing.

Photographer will provide each participant with a contract/waiver.

Join us in collaboration with a local photographer for an outdoor pole shoot in some fall foliage at Government House Park

Pride Bock Party Workshops at CEAPAC

Intro to Pole Workshop - 12pm-1pm

This class is perfect for those curious about pole dance and have no prior experience. Dive into the wonderful world of pole in a setting that is free from gendered language and binary movement expression. Pole is for every BODY, no prior fitness or dance experience required.


Chair Dance Basics Workshop - 1:30pm-2:45pm (FULL)

Learn to dance with a steely dance partner, the chair! In this workshop we'll learn some tricks, poses and moves that can spice up your next drag, burlesque or pole performance! In this class students can expect to go through a warm up, do some light conditioning and drills before we dive into the fun stuff. Class can be done in heels or socks.


Beginner Floorwork Workshop - 3pm-4:15pm

Learn how to slither and slink on the floor like a champ! In this workshop we'll learn some basic floor work moves that can be incorporated into contemporary, burlesque, drag, or pole dance routines! We'll learn a variety of moves and the conditioning needed to best achieve them. Class can be done in heels or socks. Please check the class requirements to see what heels are best

Sexy, Sassy & Proud in Heels Workshop - 4:30pm-6pm

A commercial heels class for beginners! This class is done in high heels - ballroom shoes acceptable, stilettos, chunky shoes preferred. No pole shoes and no high platforms please. This class begins with a barefoot warm up, conditioning and strength building. In heels we learn the foundations: how to hold your body, isolations, weight change, bevels, melting pots, struts and more. Come explore a new side of yourself in heels! This class is taught by @heyjuliarose.


Gogo 101 for Everyone Workshop - 6:15-7:30pm

Have you dreamed of being a gogo dancer? This workshop is for you! Learn the ins and the outs of how to stand out in the crowd and sparkle on the podium - no dance experience required! In this workshop we'll cover the three main elements of gogo: time, space, and energy, and you'll learn how ANYTHING is a move.

Erotic Life Drawing

Join us for a one-of-a-kind life drawing event where we celebrate the beauty and sensuality of erotic labour. Our models are skilled professionals who have chosen to share their bodies and their artform with us for this event.

Holly Von Sinn is an experienced art model, acclaimed burlesque artist and dancer.

Vivianne Blaze is an award winning stripper and pole instructor that graces stages across Alberta.

Witness their strength, their grace, and their sexuality, as you capture their curves and contours on paper.

Not only will you have the opportunity to create stunning works of art, but you will also be supporting a great cause. 100 percent of the proceeds from this event will go directly to our models and to a local organization that provides support and resources for sex workers.

This is a safe and inclusive space where all are welcome to explore and appreciate the diverse forms of human expression. Whether you are an experienced artist or a curious beginner, come and join us for an unforgettable evening of creativity and empowerment.

What to expect:

A life drawing class is a unique experience where artists of all levels come together to draw from a live model. During the 3 hour long session our two model will hold a series of poses, ranging from short gestures to longer poses lasting up to 20 minutes or more. Periodic breaks will be provided to both the models and artist.

Event goers are welcome to leave at any point or stay until 9:00PM.

Overall, a life drawing class is a wonderful opportunity to practice and develop your drawing skills, while also gaining a deeper appreciation for the human form.

Registration Information:

Only 14 spots (11 left) are available for this event. To secure your spot register via donation to the paypal link below or via e-transfer to finance@ceapac.ca . The minimum suggestion donation for this event is $20.

CEAPAC will provide a confirmation email after donation. If donating via e-transfer please indicate a contact email in the transfer notes.

This event is 18+ only. CEAPAC reserves the right to cancel registration, deny entry, or remove participants to ensure the continued safety of our staff, models and event participants.



Equipment and Supplies:

All attendees must supply their own art supplies, paper or easels(optional). Tables will not be available due to space limitations.

Please email into info@ceapac.ca if you would like to drop off your supplies in advance of the event.

Light refreshments and beverages will be available for purchase.

Parking:

Only street or paid parking is available at our location.

Accessibility:

Two single stall washrooms located on the 3rd floor.

Elevator is available for transport from ground floor to 3rd floor.

Unit is not wheelchair accessible as we have 8 steps to our entrance.

Push button door operators/openers are not available for our building.

Costume/Clothing Swap

Do you have a clothing/costumes collecting dust? Need to refresh your wardrobe without breaking the bank? Join CEAPAC on March 2 from 8:00-10:00PM for a classic swap meet.

This event is a chance for you to buy, sell, trade or gift gently used burlesque, pole, dance and drag costumes/clothing.

Attendees may attend by donation via paypal or e-transfer only as we are unable to accept in-person cash donations.

There will be space for 14 vendors to sell their pieces (8 spots left!). Vendors must provide their own tables or racks to display their items limited to 1 per vendor. Vendor spots must be reserved in advance by donation (suggested minimum $15). Vendor spots are first come first serve, confirmation email will be provided for vendor registration. Vendors may only access the space after 8:00PM.

Please include state the donation is for the clothing swap in the e-transfer note.

Burlesque Drop-in Open Studio

Join Holly Von Sinn on Feb 23 from 8:00-10:00PM for a burlesque centered open studio.

Open studio is a time for performers and students to get some practice in, work on a routine, skill trade with other attendees, or simply polish their own skills.

Holly will be available to answer skills or performance related questions.

We are back with another photo session! This time with a Valentines theme!

Join us on Saturday Feb 04 between 6:00-9:00PM for a drop-in style photo session.

CEAPAC will provide a cozy setup complete with a white cloth backdrop, 3 LED softboxes and some Valentines themed props. Just bring your own camera, smart phone or other recording device!

How it works:

Step 1. Register to drop-in by donating. Donations can be made via the paypal link below or via e-transfer, instruction below.

Step 2. Bring your clothing, shoes, or props of choice. Valentines colours and props encouraged but not required. Drop-in during your selected time slot.

Step 3. Come camera ready and warm up! Have your hair and makeup already complete or showcase those natural features.

Step 4. Provide your device to our volunteers or your registered friend. Smile and pose!

Step 5. Retrieve your device and enjoy your new photos!

Additional Information:

Our volunteers have an array of pose suggestions for those that struggle with posing.

If you prefer to have a friend take your photos please ensure that you register them separately.

CEAPAC volunteers are not able to take photos on their personal devices. All image editing such as cropping and colour corrections are the responsibility of the attendee.

The maximum time allotted for any one individual will be 15-20 minutes. An attendee’s individual session time may be cut short to ensure we are able to accommodate all attendees. Please ensure you arrive within your designated time slot. Late arrival may result in denial of participation in the event.

How to Register:

This event will be divided up into two timeslots with a limit of 6 attendees each.

Timeslot 1: 6:00-7:30PM max 6 attendees - NO POLE

Timeslot 2: 7:30-9:00PM max 6 attendees - POLE
